That’s why we are proud to announce a fresh collaboration between Finnish visual artist Pive Toivonen and the digital sauna platform SaunaAtlas—a partnership that seamlessly blends visual storytelling and wellness culture.
Art Meets Sauna, Digitally
Known for her humorous, tender depictions of sauna life where people appear as charming animals, Pive Toivonen has spent years documenting sauna experiences across Finland and Japan. Her work captures not just the architecture of saunas, but the emotions and memories attached to them.
Now, through SaunaAtlas’s digital sauna map—a platform that catalogs thousands of public and private sauna locations globally—Pive’s illustrations are being brought to life in an entirely new medium. Viewers can explore her artwork while browsing the map and even purchase prints directly through the platform.
A Natural Fit
“I wanted to find a channel where sauna people anywhere can discover the feeling of the sauna experience. SaunaAtlas was the perfect partner,” says Pive Toivonen.
The collaboration doesn’t stop at the map. Selected sauna locations will showcase Pive’s work on-site, further integrating art into the sauna journey, both physically and emotionally.

This partnership exemplifies what Monordi strives to do best—connecting art, commerce, and culture. Through this project, we aim to support Finnish sauna culture and expand the reach of contemporary illustration both within Finland and internationally.
