At Monordi Oy, we are proud to support the creative vision of Kettu Galleria and visual artist Pive Toivonen. We are happy to announce her upcoming exhibition, “Saunarauha” (Sauna Peace), held at the MUJI Kamppi Small Gallery.
This exhibition brings to life a beautiful Finnish philosophy: the sauna as a sanctuary of mutual respect and inner quiet, where the noise of the outside world fades away. Through her delicate watercolors—depicting serene landscapes and human moments through gentle animal characters—Pive invites us all to find a moment of “peace” in our busy lives.
We believe in the power of art to foster well-being and reflection, and we are honored to help bring this unique perspective to the community in the heart of Helsinki.

Kettu Galleria x Osmia Collaboration Debuts at Keio Department Store
The best collaborations often happen when two worlds meet. This autumn, Finnish fragrance house Osmia and Kettu Galleria by visual artist Pive Toivonen joined hands to create a collection that blends the serenity of Nordic nature with the playful spirit of Finnish art.
The result is a series of sauna aromas, room fragrances, and aroma candles, all crafted with natural ingredients and carrying the essence of birch forests and sauna traditions. Each piece is wrapped in Toivonen’s imaginative illustrations, adding a lighthearted, human touch to fragrance. It is a meeting point of scent and story — a way of bringing Finland closer to everyday life.
Alongside the collaboration, Toivonen’s art prints and postcards are also available, offering buyers a chance to experience her well-loved depictions of sauna culture, animals, and the landscapes of the North.
The project marks the first introduction of this collaboration to Japan, presented within the setting of Keio Department Store’s Nordic Fair. For Monordi, facilitating the meeting of Osmia and Pive Toivonen reflects a continuing commitment to building bridges between Nordic creators and new audiences abroad — with respect for authenticity, quality, and cultural context.
Why It Matters
For Japanese retailers and distributors, this collaboration is more than just a product launch. It demonstrates how Nordic design and fragrance can complement each other in ways that feel both timeless and contemporary. By connecting fragrance with art, the collection invites customers to engage with Nordic lifestyle on multiple levels — emotional, sensory, and visual.

This year’s Habitare participation is an opportunity to showcase our unique perspective that connects art and sauna culture. At Monordi Oy, we are committed to supporting Pive Toivonen’s work while fostering cultural exchange between Finland and Japan.
At Monordi, we are always seeking new ways to help our creators reach audiences in meaningful and innovative ways. That’s why we are proud to announce a fresh collaboration between Finnish visual artist Pive Toivonen and the digital sauna platform SaunaAtlas—a partnership that seamlessly blends visual storytelling and wellness culture.
Art Meets Sauna, Digitally
Known for her humorous, tender depictions of sauna life where people appear as charming animals, Pive Toivonen has spent years documenting sauna experiences across Finland and Japan. Her work captures not just the architecture of saunas, but the emotions and memories attached to them.
Now, through SaunaAtlas’s digital sauna map—a platform that catalogs thousands of public and private sauna locations globally—Pive’s illustrations are being brought to life in an entirely new medium. Viewers can explore her artwork while browsing the map and even purchase prints directly through the platform.
A Natural Fit
“I wanted to find a channel where sauna people anywhere can discover the feeling of the sauna experience. SaunaAtlas was the perfect partner,” says Pive Toivonen.
The collaboration doesn’t stop at the map. Selected sauna locations will showcase Pive’s work on-site, further integrating art into the sauna journey, both physically and emotionally.
Culture, Wellness, and Visual Storytelling
This partnership exemplifies what Monordi strives to do best—connecting art, commerce, and culture. Through this project, we aim to support Finnish sauna culture and expand the reach of contemporary illustration both within Finland and internationally.
“A sauna is not just a building—it’s a memory, a feeling. Pive’s art brings that to life,” notes Janne Orava, co-founder of SaunaAtlas.
Through this store, you can purchase Pive’s artworks directly while also exploring the stories behind each piece. Discover her artistic vision and creative process, and find the perfect artwork for you.
Currently, the store features her sauna-themed art, with more works to come. These unique pieces, blending sauna culture and art, beautifully capture the essence of Finland.
You can also view these artworks at the MUJI Small Gallery Helsinki exhibition. On March 8 and 9, from 13:00 to 16:00, Pive Toivonen will be present for a live painting session—an opportunity to see her technique up close and meet her in person. We warmly invite you to visit!
